About WIC

A dynamic, ambitious college built around its students

Waltham International College is an independent provider of higher education, committed to delivering accessible, industry-relevant education that empowers students to succeed.

Our story

Founded in 2010, growing ever since

Waltham International College (WIC) was founded in 2010 and provides academic study courses across Business, Health & Social Care, Education & Training, and Information Technology for students aged 18 and over — and warmly welcomes mature students returning to study.

The College is based in the heart of Barking, in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, with an additional campus serving students in Birmingham. Since 2010, WIC has grown into a genuine community: small enough that students are known by name, ambitious enough to deliver degrees validated through a partnership with Leeds Trinity University.

Honours degrees delivered with Leeds Trinity University

WIC's undergraduate honours degrees — including the BA (Hons) Business Management and BSc (Hons) Computer Science — are delivered in partnership with Leeds Trinity University. Students on these programmes are eligible for membership of Leeds Trinity Students' Union, connecting a WIC education to wider university life.

Diploma-level study at WIC forms the first year of these degree pathways: a regulated qualification equivalent to the first year of a UK honours degree, giving students a clear, supported route from diploma to full BA or BSc.
